Late in 2005 we undertook a special commission to reproduce the missing LNER A4 locos in a private collection. As requested by the customer, all 30 of the locos were to be issued with a certificate of authenticity. Further to this undertaking, an order for 25 new (C/LD) “Capercaillie” body-shells was placed and a structure for the release dates put into place. As we near the end of this project, an additional phase has been added. This involves producing 2 limited edition commissions, each for 5 locos, to be issued as part of the “Capercaillie” project. When released in September 2007, the boxed sets will contain a “Capercaillie” loco in garter blue livery, a “Charles H Newton” loco in wartime black, and a “Sir Charles Newton” loco in British Railways green. As we are ahead of schedule in this phase of the project, planning the next limited edition locos we will be undertaking for Twilight Trains is in the advanced stages of selection, TT4902, TT4903, and TT4500 special commission.
